Again from Bishkek Pik Korona, aprox. 4800 meters : In a beautiful weather we managed to ascend to one of the summits of a wide range of Pik Korona. Great climb we ended with skiing from elevation of 4600m on iceberg, where we fortunately could curve down without a rope, with a bit of a fear, but the cracks were filled up with snow to the top and it would be a shame not to experience this gorgeous scenery and awesome skiing. We did some great scenes, made great pictures, which we hopefully be able to download and post on the web. The next day we didn’t rest , but we took the advantage of a period of nice weather, which is quite uncommon here, and we headed for the next ascent. Around 5 a.m. in the morning we got off from bivouac in 3 850m to Pik Boks high around 4200m, where we ski down in perfect snow conditions one of the couloirs which we enjoyed completely. The shots will be worth seeing, for sure :-) Janci and Bulko were going to climb up 2 beautiful ice paths to Pik Slobona Korea, but unfortunately totally inappropriate climbing conditions didn’t let them to do that (no one knows if fortunately or unfortunately). Next descent to chalet Racek didn’t please us much, but the vision of having water without the need of melting the snow drove us forward as well as the next descent to civilization. Our desire was increased with the vision of beer, that we enjoyed after the long tiring way down with 40kg backpacks which impacted our bodies (fingers, legs, shoulders, hips, anything that can hurt under such load). Burned faces, blistered ears, and lips I’m not going to mention…simply, if we would like to pick up some girls, we would really have to pay for it. Currently we are writing this from Bishkek from luxury hotel that we don’t even deserve. Latest news about the road to Sary Dzaz are not very positive, since the avalanche fell over the access path and also huge amount of snow fell down, which is good for our skiing ambitions, but not that good for local transport. We all are healthy and OK, little burned with swollen lips (all that we expected) , at least we look like blacks, not that you care, but anyways. The ones that can grow beard, grew and the others are hoping, that will grow something at least on the face until the end of our recreational relaxation stay. After all its not about beauty :-) Today we have promised sauna in Bishkek, so we say goodbye for now and we try to upload some pictures tomorrow to cheer up your working spirit.
